The infrastructure for 9-1-1 is antiquated based on
the technology available today. The intent of this blog is to illustrate the issues with implementing the emerging technology of
NG9-1-1. Although the benefits of
receiving additional forms of media via 9-1-1 are inherently possible with the
technological advances, it creates secondary issues upon implementation of
NG9-1-1.

including industry publications, peer-reviewed journals, dissertations, and
personal experience.
Look for additional information about the emerging technology: NG9-1-1. It provides the much needed face-lift to the
currently outdated 9-1-1 platform.
However, this blog will discuss additional impacts upon telecommunicators that must be taken into
consideration prior to NG9-1-1 implementation. Although the equipment is
necessary, adequately preparing the people for potential impacts will
ultimately dictate success or failure.
